University of Limassol Completes Second FAIR GAME Co-Creation Workshop with Children in Cyprus

The University of Limassol successfully organised the second national co-creation workshop of the FAIR GAME project, bringing together 20 participants to explore children’s experiences and perspectives on online gaming.

The workshop provided a welcoming space for participants to openly share their views, concerns and ideas, generating valuable insights that will contribute to a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges children encounter in online gaming environments. Through lively discussions and collaborative activities, they reflected on topics including online safety, respectful interactions, inclusion, wellbeing and children’s rights in digital gaming.

The children’s active participation and thoughtful contributions highlighted what matters most to them, the challenges they face, and the changes they would like to see in online gaming communities. Their perspectives will play a key role in the preparation of the Cyprus National Report, ensuring that it accurately reflects the realities and needs of children and young people. They will also inform the design of FAIR GAME’s educational and awareness-raising resources, helping the project develop materials that are grounded in children’s real experiences and perspectives.

The workshop marks another important milestone for FAIR GAME and reinforces one of the project’s core principles: children should not simply be the subjects of research into their digital lives, but active contributors to the solutions designed to support them.
